You may have a job or task that's undesirable. It may seem mundane. But it's a job that God has allowed you to have. It should therefore be a source of thankfulness, not bitterness or apathy.

Work at it with all your heart for the Lord. For it says in Colossians 2:24 "It is the Lord Christ you are serving"

I've been thinking a lot about the essay that I need to hand up 8 days from now. The word that appears in mind is 'inadequate'. I pray that the joy that I have shall be my strength even as the workload becomes heavier and project deadlines stirs up fear. Fear of not being able to do well, that the work is difficult and not being able to complete it on time.

Sum it all up, I just want to focus on the things God has called me to. No more or no less.

And I realised that when you're in a rough patch, you wouldn't make a statement to others that you're in a rough patch. As in, you wouldn't even think of that you're in a rough patch. It struck me when a close friend encouraged and told me that it's been an eventful year for me.
Only then, I looked back and marvel at how God sustained. Maybe it's just a personality trait ;)
Or our hearts are so trained in holding on to what's true and unfailing.

study break over.

everything else fades away...when u focus on Jesus.
